Membership Benefits

Derbyshire Voluntary Action is a membership organisation which supports health and social care related voluntary groups and organisations across Derbyshire. Membership is free, as are our services. The benefits of becoming an Derbyshire Voluntary Action member include:

Board of Directors
As an Derbyshire Voluntary Action member an organisation has the power to nominate a representative to serve on the Derbyshire Voluntary Action Board and to vote in Board elections.

Decision Making
A member organisation has voting rights at the AGM and other meetings where decisions are required to be made.

Financial Support
Derbyshire Voluntary Action manages a small grants scheme on behalf of NHS Derbyshire Cluster of up to £1,000 along with other funding eg Start-Up;  for more information on criteria and application forms see funding pages.

Transform Resources influencing Group (TRi)
A member organisation has the right to nominate a representative to attend the TRi Group, which is a group of members to take on specific tasks and look at issues arising from Forum meetings on behalf of the membership as a whole.
