Health and Social Care Forum
The Health & Social Care Voluntary Sector Forum is now the General meeting of the membership of NDVA, including, once a year, the AGM to elect a Board of Directors. The Board is elected from the membership and reports back to the Forum. Membership can be either as an organisation or as an individual, however individual memberships are limited to a small percentage through the Constitution. It is important to emphasise that attendance at the Forum is not restricted to members of NDVA, it is still open to any health related or social care voluntary group in Derbyshire, however, voting on any issues or elections is restricted to the members (see link on news page for membership forms). The Forum meets four times each year and has a membership list of 109 organisations. (see
Diary page for dates of future meetings).
The Forum is a friendly and informal meeting and always welcomes new members. It is always very well attended and provides a relaxing atmosphere where groups are able to 'network'. Members are also able to hear and debate presentations on current issues and the Forum is frequently used as a consultation mechanism by statutory bodies. The Forum has funds to pay travel expenses incurred by members as well as refreshments and a buffet lunch.
